Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to frequently asked questions about our service.

Is Solar energy expensive?

No. Solar power can save you money on your monthly electricity bills – right from the very first month. DMV Solar Solutions installs your system for free, and provides your choice of budget-friendly payment options. Plus, we take care of all the paperwork, permitting and arrangements with your utility.

Will it be hard for me to move if I’ve installed solar panels on my home?

It may actually be easier! Whether you’ve leased your panels or have a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), we make it easy to transfer your contract. Your solar system may even increase your resale value and help make your home more attractive to buyers.

Will going solar make a big impact on the environment?

A solar power system for a typical 3-bedroom home will avoid 100,000 pounds of carbon emissions over 20 years.

Is there enough sunlight in the Northeast to make a solar system worthwhile?

There’s plenty. On average, the Northeast gets approximately 4.5 hours of direct sunlight day. And because power prices are typically higher in the Northeast than in other parts of the country solar power makes even more sense in terms of cost savings.

What is a carbon offset?

A carbon offset is proof that one metric ton of CO2 was absorbed, reduced or avoided. Offsets are a way to balance the negative action of releasing carbon emissions with a positive one, by supporting companies or projects that create the positive change.

Are there any fees if I sell my house to you?

We do NOT charge fees to you to buy your house. We make our money with the investment and do not need to make any by charging you a commission.

If I request an offer from you, am I obligated to sell you my house?

Absolutely not! You have nothing to lose. It doesn't hurt to see what we can offer you for your house. So why not give us a call?

Will you still buy my house even if there is a tenant living there?

Yes. Even if the house has a tenant, with or without a lease, we are still interested in making you an offer to buy the house. No problem.
